POETRY: the nectar of life Page 2

TO MY MASTER

Let the earth be nothing,
But a celestial body for me.
Let the world be nothing,
But a mirage of temptation for me;
For I belong to none of these,
For I belong to the divine, to Thee.

I know not the king,
Who rules the land I tread.
I know not the nation,
Which is told to be mine.
I know only the light of soul.
I know the serene shine,
To which I shall present my all-
My life, my will, my soul.

I am sightless to any civilization.
I am sightless to any organization.
Let the world call me a blind with eyes;
I see only Him, He, who had shaped my life.
He, to whom I owe-
Every single breathe I take,
Every beat my heart has known,
Every feeling I nurture in my breast,
Every fling arising in my mind.

I shall rest in peace forever,
If Thou give me a chance to serve Thee
If thou accept me as a ray of Thy Light
If Thou punish my sins being my Master.

Here I stand with heartful reverence for Thee.
Take away my blood, purged for Thy service-
Drop by drop, every drop.
I shall then lose myself to Thee-
In delight and contented silence, O Master!
